Jefferson Co Man Booked on Criminal Threat with Firearm

(KAIR) -- A Jefferson County man is in custody after an alleged domestic incident involving a firearm.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig, deputies responded Monday morning to a residence on Washington Road, located between Winchester and Nortonville.

Herrig says J.C. McPike was in a conflict with a female victim, where he allegedly threatened the woman with a firearm.

Herrig says a firearm was later seized by deputies.

As a result, McPike was booked on a felony charge of aggravated criminal threat, as well as misdemeanor charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McPike remains in Jefferson County Jail awaiting bond.
