( KNZA )--Stretches of two area highways will be resurfaced in the near future.
The milling and overlay work will cover K-7 from Atchison north to the Kansas/Nebraska state line.
In addition, the project will include K-9 from the east junction with U.S. 159 to U.S. 73.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says Herzog Contracting Corporation of St. Joseph was awarded the bid to resurface the 32 miles of highway for nearly $2.3 million.
Bids were opened December 19th in Topeka.
