( KNZA )-No filings have been reported so far for city and school board positions up for election this April in Brown County.
Three positions are open on the Hiawatha USD 415 Board. They are position 4, currently held by John Wright; position 5, currently held by Pete Rosa and position 6, currently held by Denise Elffner.
Four positions are open on the Horton USD 430 Board. They include position 2, currently held by Jason Selland; position 4, currently held by Tim McClaskey; position 5, currently held by Greg Dishon; and position 6, currently held by Jacob Bruning.
Two positions are up for election on the Hiawatha City Commission. They include Commissioner of Streets, currently held by Irv Schwalm and Commissioner of Utilities, currently held by John Sheeran.
One position is open on the Horton City Commission---Finance Commissioner, which is currently held by Ken Krug.
In addition, positions are up for election on the city councils in the third-class cities in the county.
Candidates for city offices should file at their respective city clerk’s office and school board candidates at the Brown County Clerk’s office.
The filing deadline is noon, January 22nd.
