(KAIR) -- One candidate each has filed for re-election to the USD 409 and USD 377 school boards.
According to Atchison County Clerk Pauline Lee, Carrie Sowers has filed for re-election for Atchison Public Schools and Jeff Martin for Atchison County Community Schools.
The remaining seats up for election in USD 377 are those currently held by Cindy Ladd and Steve Meeks.
The remaining seats up for election in USD 409 are those currently held by Dr. John Eplee and Diane Liebsch.
Elsewhere, in Muscotah, Lee says Roy Thacker has filed for re-election for Mayor while Jim Hanrahan has filed for re-election to City Council.
Those interested in filing have until January 22nd at noon to file for office.
