(KTNC) - A Tecumseh, Nebraska man was killed in a New Year’s Eve car crash.
The Lincoln Journal-Star reports that 83-year-old Kenneth Stinson died after his car collided with another vehicle driven by a Kansas City woman near Crab Orchard.
Stinson was driving west on U.S. Highway 136, when a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Kristin Helmink crossed the centerline about one-and-a-half miles east of Crab Orchard. Helmink’s Saturn SUV collided with Stinson’s Chevy Venture.
Stinson died at the scene. Helmink was taken to a Lincoln hospital where her condition was not immediately available.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says highways were slick and snow-packed at the time of the accident.
