(KLZA) The Pawnee County Board of Commissioners met on Wednesday and approved resolutions setting meeting dates and bank depositories for 2013. In addition the Pawnee Republican was designated as the official County newspaper. A letter of support was also approved for the Household Hazardous Waste grant.
Assessor Jonathan Bailey met with Commissioners regarding a new program for personal property tax which would allow people to file on line. There would be no cost to the County. People still wanting to come to the Assessor’s office to file will be able to. Bailey will send out post cards when the service is available.
A resolution re-appointing Alan Richard, Greg Bowen and Marcia Borcher to the Planning Commission for 2013 & 14 was approved. Re-appointed to the Board of Adjustment were Alan Richard, Donald Luedders Phyllis Smith, Ronald Puhalla and Stephen Cumro. Bruce Droge was appointed alternate through 2014.
Attorney Stephen Kraviec met with the Board regarding Child Support Enforcement. He does the establishment of child support and the enforcement of child support. The cost to Pawnee County would be $333 monthly. Commissioners decided to continue with the County Attorney doing the child support work for another year and then decide if they want to make changes.
