(KTNC) - The Pawnee City School Board and the District’s teachers have reached agreement on a contract for the 2013-2014 school year, after the school board unanimously approved the contract this week.
Superintendent Stephen Grizzle comments. (play audio :19)
The teachers’ association approved the contract prior to Monday’s board meeting, so the board’s action Monday was the final approval needed for the contract to be approved.
The board also approved a one-year extension to Superintendent Grizzle’s contract, through the 2014-2015 school year.
In other business, the Pawnee City School Board unanimously approved up to six extended contract days for the Instructional Technology and Media Specialist positions. Grizzle says they previously didn’t have any such days, but changing technology necessitates the move. (play audio :25)
Also Monday, the Pawnee City School Board approved a motion to use $8,190 from the Depreciation Fund to pay for work at the high school track. The work, which is already completed, extended the runways for the long jump and triple jump. That will allow those events to be run in either direction, depending on the wind.
