( KNZA )-Two public meetings have been set in Wathena to receive input on the possibility of developing a walking and biking trail in the community.
The meetings will take place Wednesday, December 5th and Monday December 10th. Both meetings will be 7 in the evening in the council chambers at the Wathena City Hall.
Council President John Cluck said the main purpose of the meetings is to have people come and voice their opinion.
The Kansas Chief reports that Andrew Clement, who serves as the assistant director of Public Works and Transportation for the city of St. Joseph, will be attending both meetings.
Clements, a Doniphan County native and former Wathena mayor, has been instrumental in the development and continued expansion of walking and biking trails throughout St. Joseph.
