(KAIR) -- Around two thousand Atchison County Westar Energy customers, served by the same circuit, were left in the cold Sunday due to power outages.
According to Spokesman Shane Batchelder the first outage lasted from 1:10 to five am, caused by vegetation tangled into power lines.
The next series of outages started around 1:20 Sunday afternoon lasting for 40 minutes.
Several additional outages were also incurred, lasting around 10 to 15 minutes, during the afternoon.
Batchelder says those outages were caused by an equipment malfunction.
