( KMZA )--The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office continues to seek information on the driver and vehicle involved in a fatality accident early October 28th.
Shortly before 12:10 that morning, 21 year old Konley Harding of Manhattan was struck by a light colored sport utility type vehicle on Highway 24 east of Manhattan. Harding was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff's Detectives have identified a vehicle of interest that was in the area at the time of this accident.
The vehicle was on Highway 24 and traveled south on K-99 in Wamego.
Investigators believe that because of the clothing worn by the victim, and because the victim reportedly was lying in the roadway before being struck, the driver of the vehicle would have known they struck an object, but may not necessarily have known that they had struck a person.
Sheriff's detectives would like to talk with the driver of the vehicle. They can be reached at the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office at 785-457-3353.
