(KAIR) -- A 27-year-old Leavenworth man was found not guilty in a jury trial Thursday in Atchison County District Court on two weapons charges.
Sylvester Williams was acquitted of felon in possession of a firearm and defacing a firearm.
He was arrested on January 11th following a search warrant of his home at the time in Atchison, where investigators believed a gun that was found was his.
However, Williams was also arrested Thursday on Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear.
He was able to post bond on those counts and will make his next appearance on December 12th.
