(KAIR) -- The hours of the Easton Post Office may soon be cut in half.
The City Council Monday night was read a letter from the USPS which announced a public hearing for citizens on December 6th at the post office.
City Clerk Jere Chieppo says citizens were mailed a survey with different options and the results will be tabulated in time for that meeting.
The post office is currently open eight hours a day during the week and four hours on Saturday while the current proposal is to make it four hours a day during the week only.
Citizens have until November 22nd to complete the survey.
