(KNZA)--98 years of Halloween was celebrated in Hiawatha Wednesday.
Held under the theme “It’s the End of the World As We Know It,” the annual Halloween frolic was a near all day affair, including a costume contest, followed by the afternoon’s traditional Children’s Parade, which brought out numerous parade entrants as well as spectators.
Once the afternoon turned into evening, excitement mounted, as Oregon street was lined with spectators awaiting the evening’s grand parade.
Just prior to the entries making their way down the parade route, the annual Halloween Queen Ceremony was held at the grandstand.
