(KNZA)--A Wamego resident picks her daughter up from high school after the teen became sick; and, because of that unexpected trip, Teresa Duncan stops for gas, and buys two 2-dollar Kansas Lottery “Slingo” tickets, which she calls one of her favorite games.
As a result of those unplanned events, Duncan is now 10-thousand-dollars richer when the second ticket was revealed to be a winner.
Her husband of 28-years, Dale, at first refused to believe her luck when she phoned to tell him of her windfall.
The couple, who have a son in college at Pittsburg State, plan to use the prize money for new tires for their truck and for a family vacation.
