Humboldt Council OKs Electrical System Transfer
10/04/2012

(KTNC) - The Humboldt City Council gave the go-ahead for the Housing Authority to transfer its electrical transmission system to the City of Humboldt during Tuesday’s council meeting.
The move, which is effective immediately, will relieve the Housing Authority of the responsibility of maintaining the electrical transmission system.  That responsibility will now be transferred to N-P-P-D.
In other business Tuesday, the council decided to seek cost estimates for either paving or asphalting First Street, from west of Long Branch to the west city limit.
The street is in rough condition, with washboarding and dust problems.  First Street is the street that leads to the Humboldt Cemetery.
The Council also approved the appointment of Charlie Crook to a two-year term of the Auditorium Board.
Action was tabled on a request to allow operation of all-terrain vehicles within city limits.  The council delayed action on the matter so they could gather more information on the proposal.
