(KAIR) -- Four Jefferson County men were arrested on multiple felony charges following a citizen tip on suspicious activity of an abandoned building owned by Jefferson County in rural Oskaloosa.
According to Jefferson County Undersheriff Bob Chartier, authorities got a tip around 7:30 Tuesday morning that a pickup with a bed filled with scrapped materials was pulling away from the building at 13851 90th Street.
Chartier says this led them to arresting three individuals for their alleged involvement around 8:45: 31-year-old Christopher Dollen of Valley Falls and 27-year-old Jacob Courter and 19-year-old Pleasant Courter, both of Oskaloosa.
A fourth individual fled the scene and after a search warrant was obtained, they were able to locate and arrest 52-year-old Kevin Davis, Senior of Oskaloosa.
They were booked on charges of burglary for their alleged break-in, felony criminal damage for allegedly tearing out and stripping wiring in the building, causing thousands of dollars of damage, and felony theft, for allegedly taking thousands of dollars of scrap metal from the building.
All remain in Jefferson County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
