(KAIR) -- In preparation for the deadline for solid waste bids on Friday, Atchison County Commissioners spent a majority of Monday’s meeting clarifying questions of potential providers.
Atchison County Commissioner Jeff Schuele says several providers have expressed interest so far.

Schuele says the deadline for solid was RFP’s to the County Clerk’s office is Friday at Noon.
Commissioners will open bid proposals on Monday and then are anticipated to vote on the provider following the vote on the published 2013 budget.
The selection of the provider may impact the rate of the solid waste fees for 2013, which are currently capped and may be lowered.
