(KAIR) -- In what was supposed to be a fundraiser for an Atchison County community’s premier event became a total loss after their city hall was burglarized.
The city of Muscotah held a garden tractor pull fundraiser Saturday in an effort to raise funds for their annual Rose Festival.
However, that night, their city hall was burglarized and all funds raised that day that were locked in a drawer were stolen.
Rose Festival Committee Member Jeff Hanson said up to 250 dollars was taken from the drawer, raised from the event.
The case is currently under investigation with the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office.
