( KNZA )-- A former Elwood police officer convicted on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and eavesdropping with a camcorder has been sentenced to one year in jail and three years probation.
Brian Vincent was also ordered Wednesday in Doniphan County District Court to undergo a sex offender treatment program.
Vincent pleaded no contest in August to the charges.
He was a sergeant and 10-year veteran of the Elwood Police Department before he was fired in June of last year. Vincent also worked part-time for the Wathena Police Department.
Prosecutors said Vincent had videos of underage girls nude or undressing. The girls were filmed without their knowledge.
Vincent is also a former member of the Riverside USD 114 school board. He had been re-elected last year but resigned after the charges were filed.
