(KAIR) -- A rural Atchison man is recovering following a motorcycle accident in Atchison County Wednesday afternoon.
According to Atchison County Undersheriff Larry Myer, 65-year-old Robert Stuebs was southbound on Osborne Road near 230th Road where he failed to negotiate a turn near the Stranger Creek Bridge.
Myer says the motorcycle struck a guy wire power post owned by Westar energy.
Lifenet helicopters were called but, Myer says they were cancelled and Stuebs was transported by ambulance to Atchison Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The accident was reported around four Wednesday afternoon.
