(KLZA) The Richardson County Fair will be held this week in Humboldt on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The big week in Humboldt begins Wednesday night with the Humboldt Fall Festival and Coronation Program at 7:30 p-m in the City Square Park at 7:30 p-m. The theme this year is “It’s A Wonderful, Wonderful Fair – 2012.”
During the coronation program the Queen and King will be crowned and the Humboldt Woman of the Year will be named.
The King is selected by the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Queen is elected by the buying public who vote at Humboldt area retail stores.
During the fair, parades will be held at 11 a-m on Thursday, Friday and Saturday featuring area bands, floats and costumed children. Other events will include the Free Acts on stage in the park on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This years entertainment includes Six Appeal on Thursday at 2 and 8 p-m. The “a cappella” group will feature classic oldies, current songs and original songs by the group; On Friday the free act will be Delisa Dawn featuring country and gospel music along with comedy.
On Saturday the Cowboy Up! Band will perform current top 40 country, classic country and country rock.
In addition there will be an antique tractor and gas engine show on Saturday the 15th on the grounds along Highway 105 and 4th Street.
Judging of various exhibits will take place at the Ag Building and the exhibits can be viewed there as well.
