(KAIR) -- A rural Ozawkie man is in custody on multiple felony charges for an alleged incident involving another woman Monday evening.
According to Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig, 65-year-old Harold Hale and a 52-year-old woman went to collect aluminum cans and returned to her address at Lakeshore Estates in rural Ozawkie.
Herrig says while Hale was there, the woman asked if he could fix her ceiling fan.
After Hale couldn’t, he allegedly got angry and struck the woman several times, grabbed her by the neck and threw tools at her and left the residence.
The woman refused medical treatment and was not hospitalized.
Hale was later discovered at his residence on Dickinson Road by deputies and booked into the Jefferson County Jail charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
He remains in Jefferson County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
