( KNZA )-- Enrollment is up slightly this school year in Hiawatha USD 415.
As of Tuesday, Superintendent Penny Hargrove said they had 906 students enrolled from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
Hargrove said kindergarten is their highest growth grade with 87 students.
Due to the enrollment increase, the Hiawatha school board voted earlier this month to add a fifth kindergarten teacher and a full-time paraprofessional.
