(KAIR) -- Two brothers are in custody following Monday's alleged armed burglary in rural Atchison County.
Authorities arrested rural Atchison residents 28-year-old Stephen Kinzer, and his 20-year-old brother, Reagen Kinzer, Tuesday afternoon.
The Kinzers now face charges of burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and theft.
County Attorney Gerald Kuckelman says additional charges are possible.
A search warrant was served on their home after the arrests.
Authorities say Stephen Kinzer is accused of entering an unoccupied home at 9249 Ottawa Road northwest of Atchison Monday morning.
When the homeowner, Tony Baker, came home he was allegedly confronted at gunpoint and ordered to get on the ground. Kinzer allegedly fled the scene after Baker complied.
Atchison County Sheriff John Calhoon says the gun used in the incident, a Smith and Wesson .223 caliber rifle, was allegedly stolen from Baker's residence. It's believed to be the only item taken.
The Kinzer's are being held in the Atchison County Jail and are to make their first appearance in court Wednesday morning.
Authorities now believe his brother, Reagen, was waiting nearby with a getaway car.
