(KAIR) -- The Atchison Fire Department will be at one of the community’s busiest intersections this weekend asking for your donations to benefit those with muscular dystrophy.
The “boot block” will be from nine until noon Saturday, asking motorists stopped at the stoplight of the intersection of U-S 73 and U-S 59 to put extra change or cash in their boots.
Atchison Fire Captain Ted Graf describes what the funds raised will do for the ones affected.

The funds raised will be presented at the location of the regional muscular dystrophy telethon in Kansas City.
