(KAIR) -- In an effort for transparent county government, Atchison County Commissioner meetings are now online.
Recently, IT Director Wes Lanter purchased a camera with audio capabilities and installed it the back part of the Commissioner Room.
Meetings have never been recorded in its entirety before.
The goal is have meetings taped, then rendered and posted online, usually several hours after the meeting’s completion.
It has been a long time goal of Atchison County Commissioners, who have been pushing to strongly utilize technology.
