( KMZA )- The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office and the Riley County Police Department are investigating a reported strong armed robbery that occurred Sunday.
Sheriff Greg Riat says the alleged incident happened in the vicinity of 101 East Bluemont in Manhattan around sunset.
The victim, a 64 year old male, reported being battered by a male suspect. The victim alleged the male suspect took his blue soft sided lunch bag. The bag contained a pocket knife, tobacco and some change (coins).
Riat says the victim was taken to a Manhattan hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
He said the only description given of the suspect is a male, possibly 25-30 years old.
