(KLZA) During the Auburn, Nebraska City Council meeting this week Dottie Holliday presented a 44 page report to the Council members of concerns she has regarding the Auburn Airport Authority. Mayor Scott Kudrna discusses the topic. ( play audio :52 seconds )
The information Holliday presented to the Council is available to use on the Auburn City website.
The Council referred the possible placement of handicap swings at Legion Park in Auburn to the Parks and Pool Committee. Jessica Mason who suggested the swings will work with the committee.
Membership dues for the next fiscal year to Southeast Nebraska Development District of $2,125 and SENDD Housing Dues of $1,038 were approved by the Council.
The Auburn Council also voted unanimously to accept ownership and possession of two properties, 721, 11th Street and 716, 10th Street from the owners. Back taxes on the two properties total about $1,600 but Mayor Kudrna says that amount is less than what the City has spent over the years to keep the nuisance properties cleaned up. The Council also discussed platting S Street from the 26th Street intersection south to the corporate city limits and paving North S Street from Highway 136 north to Glenrock. No action was taken.
