(KAIR) -- A five-year-old Atchison boy could go home soon following neurosurgery after a bicycle accident Saturday night.
That’s according to Landon Burge’s mother, Kara.
First responders were called to the scene near 7th and U streets to attend to Landon, where he was later transported to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City.
Kara Burge says Landon had neurosurgery around two Sunday morning to evacuate bleeding in his brain and that he’s currently stable, only complaining of an occasional headache and light sensitivity.
Details were initially sketchy on the cause of the accident, but after talking to Landon, Kara says the cause became clearer.
