Brown County Fair Begins Tuesday
The 94th Annual Brown County Free Fair kicks off Tuesday at the fairgrounds in Horton and runs through Friday.
Tuesday will bring the rabbit, poultry and dairy shows. The parade will be held at 6:30 that evening, with the Fashion Revue to follow.
Wednesday brings the swine, bucket calf and beef shows. A pedal power tractor pull will be held that evening on the outside cement platform. Registration will begin at 6 p.m. and the Pull begins at 7. The tractor pull is open to all boys and girls up through 11 years old.
The sheep show will take place Thursday. That evening the Brown County Extension Council will be serving grilled pork burgers and free entertainment will be provided by country artist Rusty Rierson at 8 p.m. on the cement platform.
The fair will wrap up Friday night with the awards program and livestock sale.
Great Plains Amusements will be at the fair with lots of rides, games and booths Tuesday through Thursday nights starting at 6 p.m.
