The Pawnee City, City Council will meet at 7:30 p-m this evening at City Hall.
Agenda items include discussion on the second reading of an ordinance approving setting up the Wellhead Protection Program around the Pawnee City water wells located northwest of the city.
Pawnee County Sheriff Jayme Reed and Pawnee County Commissioner Jan Lang will meet with the Council for more negotiations on the law enforcement agreement between the City and the County. The County has come back with a proposal of a 3-percent increase after City Council members previously turned down proposals of a six percent and 4.5 percent increase.
The Council will also discuss a request from SENCA to close off streets around the square in Pawnee City on Labor Day for an event titled “Last Fling til Spring.”
Council members will also hear a report on nuisance letters sent out concerning mowing.
An application for employment will be reviews as will street issues.
