An Oskaloosa woman was flown to an area hospital Tuesday afternoon after her pickup was struck by a farm tractor on U.S. 24 Highway in Jefferson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Connie Miller was flown by Life Star to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City with disabling injuries following the accident around 3:30 p.m. about 4 miles west of Perry.
The Patrol says Miller was traveling east on Highway 24 when a southbound Case International farm tractor on K-237 being driven by Edward Clare Jr. of Meriden failed to yield the right-of-way to Miller’s 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup. The pickup was struck on its front driver’s side by the tractor.
Clare wasn’t hurt.
The Patrol says it’s not known if Miller was wearing a seat belt.
