The Falls City Utility Department recently had an electrical contractor evaluate the circuit’s wiring that experienced a failure on May 20th.
The contractor has determined the remaining wire has sufficient capacity to carry the power required for the circuit. Falls City Utilities continues to evaluate the condition of the circuit and at this time, no repairs are scheduled.
Falls City Utilities will provide as much advance notice as possible to customers affected when work is scheduled for the circuit.
The May outage affected much of the downtown area on Harlan, Stone and Chase Streets.
