A vacancy has been filled on the Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education.
During a special meeting Tuesday evening, the board voted to appoint Jeffrey DeMint to fill the unexpired term of the late Roger Brockoff.
DeMint was among two candidates interviewed for position 2 on the board. The other candidate was Luke Scoby.
The term will expire June 30th of next year and will be up for election next April.
And the board approved a contract with Kertis Keehn to teach science at Sabetha High School.
