Many squirrels have moved from the country to town. Quite a few of them are moving indoors.
Squirrels look for a good nesting place to raise their young and attics seem to be a favorite place. Squirrels, which are described by some as rats with a cuter outfit do not make good house guests. Wildlife Specialist Charlie Lee says a strobe light might help you get rid of a squirrel. ( play audio :11 seconds )
Squirrels can fit through a hole the size of a half-dollar. If you have a small attic or crawl space you may need a camera to see if you have squirrels in the attic. ( play audio :07 )
Squirrels will come in broke windows and holes around wires and pipes. Lee says squirrels can do a lot of damage to a home and chew through electrical cables and wires causing shorts and fires.
