Highland Community College softball team has enjoy another great season and it is continuing in the NJCAA Division II National Championship Tournament this week starting Thursday May 17th-Saturday 19th in Clinton, Mississippi at Traceway Park.
Scotties who are ranked eighth in the nation and 48-11 on the season are the seven seed in the tournament and will play the ten seed, Illinois Central (34-23) squad in the first round of the double elimination tournament on Thursday at 11:30am.
If the Scotties win against Illinois Central they will play again on Thursday at 3:30pm versus the winner of the 15 seed CCBC-Catonsville, Md. (44-11) versus 2 seed Phoenix College (51-15). If Highland loses first game they will drop down into the losers bracket and play again on Thursday at 1:30pm.
