Motorists traveling U.S. Highway 73 Friday morning, east of Everest, found themselves delayed as crack sealing work is underway.
The project, which began with no formal public notice, is being conducted by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
It's expected, weather permitting, to continue next week, with motorists likely to experience delays up to 15 minutes, as traffic is guided through the route by a pilot car.
If all goes as planned, the crack sealing is expected to be completed by sometime Wednesday, with drivers, until that time, urged to allow extra time during their commute along the roadway.
