A 30 year old Effingham man gets two years of probation Monday in Atchison County Court on a felony arson charge.
Gale Hewitt had the 16 month prison sentence suspended.
He was arrested February 27th for setting ablaze a vacant home owned by Achievement Services at 1527 Center Street on February 17th where he had been staying while homeless.
He may also have to pay restitution, as Achievement Services was given 30 days by the court to submit a claim.
