With spring sports season getting into the swing of things four Big Seven schools meet up in a quad track this past Tuesday in Carbondale as the Santa Fe Trail Chargers played host to the Jeff West Tigers, Holton Wildcats and Royal Valley Panthers.
It was a good day for the Royal Valley Panthers track squads, both girls and boys as both teams earned the most top three finisher's on the day. On the girls side of the track meet it was Royal Valley finishing with 18 total top three finishers on the day. While Jeff West and Holton each finished with 14 top three performances for each of their teams. The Tigers finished took home the most titles for events with eight first place finisher's. Santa Fe Trail finished the day with eight top three placers on the girl's side, also.
For the boys side of the track meet the Royal Valley Panthers racked up 23 top three performances on the day, earning the most first place finishes with nine of all four teams competing on the day. Holton wrapped up the days action with 13 top three finishes, including seven first places. While Santa Fe Trail finished the day with the third highest top three performances in 10 and Jeff West finished the day on the boy's side with eight top three finishers.
