An outdoor classroom is to be built at the Wetmore Attendance Center with donated funds.
Prairie Hills USD 113 Superintendent Dennis Stones says the board of education gave approval to the project during their regular meeting this week...( play audio )
In other business, Stones says the board has agreed to donate district property for new tennis courts and a parking lot as part of a proposal for a new community health and wellness center in Sabetha, if a bond issue is approved by voters in November....( continue audio )
The district area affected would include roughly 22-thousand-square-feet.
And the USD 113 board approved the hiring of a 4th Sabetha Middle School track coach for one year due to the number of students participating.
