Nebraska City edged Falls City by one stroke to win the Auburn Invitational in Monday’s high school golf.
The Pioneers finished with a team total of 361, while Falls City totaled 362. Auburn was third with a 382 total, and Lewiston totaled 389. Golfers from Pawnee City, HTRS, and Rock Port also competed in the tournament.
Lewiston’s Trevor Jasa was the individual medallist with a 76. That was six strokes better than second place finisher, Wade Witt of Falls City, who shot an 82 for runner-up honors.
Nebraska City’s Aaron Moyer was third with an 85 and three golfers – Calvin Bishop and Joe Nelson of Auburn and Seth Anderson of Nebraska City – shot a 90. Brody Weinman of Falls City placed 7th with a 91, Andrew Boyce of Nebraska City shot a 92, and Trey Blex of Auburn and Weston Witt of Falls City each finished with 93 to round out the top 10 individuals.
