Auburn homeowners interested in a potential Owner-Occupied Housing Rehab program are asked to let officials know of their interest.
Before a program becomes a reality, the City Council has suggested pre-applications be sought out to gauge community interest. A Program Facts Brochure and Pre-Application form have been posted on the Auburn City website; auburn.ne.gov. The Pre-Application can be filled out and mailed to the Southeast Nebraska Development Office in Humboldt.
By demonstrating the level of need, the City of Auburn has a better chance to secure the competitive grant. The pre-applications gathered will be kept confidential throughout the process.
Funding is not guaranteed and any award information will not be known until late this year.
If you are interested, please complete and return the pre-application by May 1st.
You may contact the City Clerk’s Office in Auburn for more information at 402-274-3420.
