Art Chapin, age 79, of Brownville, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn.

Survivors include his wife Arden of Brownville; children Kimberly (Gregory) Berger of Omaha; Bryan (Kathy) Chapin of Madison, WI; Timothy (Syndi) Chapin of Atlanta, GA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law Bernadine Gaer of Harlan, IA; other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25, at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn.  Inurnment of ashes will be Monday, May 12, 2:00 p.m. at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha, with graveside military honors.
Visitation will be at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to Good Samaritan Society-Auburn, Bethel Community Church, or Prairie Union Baptist Church.
