Donald Lee Murphy Sr., 93, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025, at his daughters' home.

Donald was born on February 24, 1932, in Troy, Kansas to Elmer and Vida (Sutton) Murphy.

He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and worked as a section lineman for the Chicago Rock Island Railroad and Northwestern Railroad for 42 years.

Donald married Mary Agnes Smith on March 14, 1959, in Savannah, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Gloria Moppin and Darrel "Buck" Murphy Sr., and cousin, Jody Sutton whom his parents raised like his brother and son-in-law, Mike McConnell.

Survivors include, Daughters, Mary Ann McConnell, and Terry Murphy (Billy McKane).
Sons, Donald Lee Murphy Jr. (Lori), and William Marvin Murphy.
20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one on the way, along with 2 great great grandchildren.
Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M. Sunday, August 17, 2025.
At the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas.
Visitation: 7-9 P.M. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the funeral home.
Burial: Fanning Cemetery, Fanning, Kansas.
Memorials: Doniphan County Pet Rescue.
