Anna Christine Wilson, 87, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away at the Mosaic Hospital on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 22, at the First Christian Church in Atchison, Kansas with Dr. David May officiating. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am prior to the service. Interment will be at Mt. Bethel Cemetery, Weston, MO, immediately following. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church.

Chris was born in Weston, Missouri, to Alfred and Olive Blanche Goodlet Sigrist on November 30, 1937. She was a graduate of West Platte High, Weston, Missouri and of Bethany School of Nursing.

Chris worked at the Atchison Hospital for many years. She became the head of the Obstetric Unit, then Director of Nursing and finally served as VP of Nursing before retiring in 1999.

Chris married Phillip Byron Wilson on December 22, 1957, at his parents’ home with their lifelong friends, Orville (Buster) and Shirley Blakley, as their attendants.

Chris loved reading, especially books by Max Lucado. She loved traveling with her husband overseas and later when they retired, by motor home through the states.

Chris was a member of the First Christian Church. She openly shared her faith with her family and friends. Chris was the heart of her family. She was someone you could call when you needed a friendly voice or just someone to listen to and tell you everything would be okay.

Chris is survived by two sisters, Patricia (and Bill) Jenkins, Beverly, MO and Garlyn (and Bob) Moore, Platte City, MO, two sons, Mark (and Beth) Wilson, Nortonville, KS and Thomas (and Julie) Wilson, Atchison, KS, three daughters, Vicki (and Steven) Tate, Atchison, KS, Phyllis Susan (and Ricardo) Robles, Wichita, KS and Brenda Callahan, Atchison, KS, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
