Linda Sue Corkins Metcalfe, 78, Atchison, Kansas died December 28, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Hackett Cemetery, Dearborn, MO. A visitation with the family will be Thursday, Jan. 2nd from Noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Linda was born February 8, 1946, in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Everett and Elizabeth Hackett Corkins. She attended North Platte schools.

She and Steve A. Metcalfe were united in marriage in January of 1984, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Atchison, Kansas. Mr. Metcalfe preceded her in death.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid follower of Christ attending Trinity Lutheran Church and New Life Assembly of God Church. Linda loved her family and grandchildren and playing bingo.

Survivors include, two sons, James Blacketer, Atchison, KS; Gaylon Gillis, Atchison, KS; three daughters, Donna Enzbrenner (Bob Bonnel) Atchison, KS; Tammy (Rodney) Walker, Easton, KS; DeeDee (Rick) Jacobson, Atchison, KS; two brothers, Gary Corkins, Tennessee; Rick Corkins, Texas; four sisters, Alice Jones, Steele MO; Phyllis Wright, Tonganoxie, KS; Libby (Harold) Boos, Atchison, KS; Joan (Marshall) Marley, Portland, OR; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve; daughter in law, Patty Blacketer and siblings, Blanche Corkins; George Corkins; Helen Marks; Janice Moore; and Bill Corkins.
