Devin J. Rowland, age 64 of Nehawka, Nebraska, formerly of Wetmore, Kansas passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his home.

Devin James Rowland was born on May 10, 1960 in Seneca, KS, the son of James E. and Anne E. Rowland. He was raised and attended school in Wetmore, KS. At a very young age, he began his career in the family Logging business, which he did for 25 years. He later began working for Western Contracting; working on the Missouri River in various capacities including placing rock for dikes.

He was united in marriage to Robin L. Wright on May 19, 1984 in Kansas City, KS and to this union three children were born: Dustin, Judson and Megan. Devin was a long-time member of the Shriners and served at Past Master Mason in Emerson, NE. During his youth, he participated in 4H.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Robin Rowland of Nehawka, NE, children: Dustin Rowland (Toni) of Sawyer, ND and Megan Rowland of Thurston, NE; grandchildren: Isabella of Grand Forks, ND, Jared Rowland of Sawyer, ND, Judson Rowland, Jr. of Sioux City, NE, Waylon Rowland of Craig, MO and Lilly Rowland of Thurston, NE; his mother Anne Rowland of Wetmore, KS, father James Rowland of Rogers, NE, siblings: Debra Henry of Centralia, KS and Tim Rowland (Jill) of Wetmore, KS; half sister Jamie Oster (Dave) of Atlanta, GA; half brother Adam Rowland (sig. other Ashley Bell) of North Bend, NE; sisters-in-law: Lana Montgomery of Florida and Rhonda Rookstool (Frankie) of Mound City, KS; brother-in-law Rick Wright (Jody) of Pleasanton, KS; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving son Judson James Rowland in 2011.

Services will also be held on Saturday, November 16, at St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore, KS at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Goff, KS.

The Gude Mortuary, in Nebraska City, is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriners Children's Hospital or a fund to aid his beloved grandchildren in the future.
