Wanda June Ruhnke, 89, passed away Saturday September 7, 2024, in Upland, California.

A graveside service for Wanda will be held Saturday October 5, 2024, 1:00pm at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Troy, Kansas with Pastor Jeff Cochran officiating. Wanda was born April 5, 1935, the daughter of George and Cora (Carleton) Kiger. Wanda grew up in Doniphan County, attending Troy High School. She married William Robert Ruhnke on July 12, 1952, in Wathena, KS. They had been married for thirty-eight years and raised two daughters together before William passed away on May 14, 1990. Wanda worked for Atchison Leather Products for many years.

Wanda is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, brother William Kiger, sisters Doris Stocking, Carol Emerson, and Lennis Davies. She is survived by daughters Glenda Ortega, Upland, CA and Rhonda (Allen) Hubbard, Atchison, KS, grandchildren Amber Hubbard, Todd (Trista) Hubbard, Rorri Ortega, Brianna Zapata, and Marissa Ortega and six great grandchildren.
