Wanda Lee Garren Simmons, 95, of Troy, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, Kansas.

Wanda was born on August 31, 1929, in Bennington, Kansas to Enos Jack and Margaret Ruth Lockhart Garren.

She was a housewife and a member of the Troy Christian Church, Troy, Kansas.

Wanda married Thomas William “Bill” Simmons on July 18, 1940, in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jack Garren and grandson, Jay Michael Simmons.

Janet Wilkening (Steve), Yukon, Oklahoma.

Rick Simmons (Peggy), Troy, Kansas.

Jacqui Anderson, Emporia, Kansas.

Lee Ann Friesen (Jon), Edmond, Oklahoma.

12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Brothers, Tom Garren and Paul Garren.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Monday, September 23, 2024.

At the Troy Christian Church, Troy, Kansas.

Visitation: 9:30 A.M. Monday, 1 hour prior to service. Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Sunday at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas.

Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas.
