Phyllis M. Wullschleger, 91, of Seneca, KS, peacefully passed away on August 3, 2024, at the Life Care Center in Seneca KS.

The visitation will be held at Salem Lutheran Church near Axtell from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, August 10. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jeff Swanson will officiate.

The honorary pallbearers will be Amy Huerter, Jamie Douglas, Magen Hawkinson, Tiffany Ingram, Brandyce Ingram, Ashley Rodgers and Melissa Ahlquist.

The burial will be in the church cemetery.

Phyllis was born on March 12, 1933, in Bigelow, KS, to Clarence and Lillie (Bowser) Bronaugh. In 1951, she graduated from Frankfort High School.

On May 24, 1953, she married Clarence Wullschleger in Bigelow, KS.

Phyllis embarked on a career that spanned almost two decades until retiring in 1996 from the Nemaha County ASCS office. In her leisure time, Phyllis cultivated hobbies that brought her joy and relaxation. She loved reading and solving puzzles while also enjoying friendly card games. Her days were brightened by cherished lunch dates with friends at the Senior Center.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband Clarence on March 3, 2018; parents; and sisters, Doris Tebbutt and Erma Hale.

Survivors include her daughters, Sheryl (Melvin) Ahlquist of Bern, KS; Sharlene Douglas of Wausau, WI; Julie Ingram of Dallas, TX; and Barbara (Tom) Rodgers of Ozawkie, KS; sister, Arlene Barrett of Salina, KS; eight grandchildren: Matt Ahlquist, Greg (Melissa) Ahlquist, Amy (Tom) Huerter, Jamie Douglas, Tiffany Ingram, Brandyce Ingram, Justin (Ashley) Rodgers, and Magen Hawkinson; seventeen great-grandchildren: Reagan, Delaney and Austin Ahlquist; Emmett, Amos and Sam Ahlquist; Dalton, Keirsten and Payton Huerter; Greyson Douglas; Hannah, Grady and Brooklyn Rodgers; Myrick, Matthew, Melchizedek "Zed" and Madelynne Hawkinson; and Slade Ingram-Lawson; and two great-grandchildren: Colson and Ava Delaney.
